May sees a 365.9% spike in Macau's gaming income.

In the same month in 2022, the sum was MOP3.34bn, and this year, it was 5.8% more than MOP14.7m.
Similarly, the sum for May was the greatest monthly total for the whole calendar year.
With nearly all measures gone, Macau has continued to reap the benefits of the broad easing of COVID-19 limitations.
The quarantine requirement for foreign nationals entering China has been lifted, and the country will no longer limit the number of flights allowed into the country. This was in response to widespread public outcry over the government's "zero-Covid" policy and its harshness.
In the five months leading up to May, the region's gaming revenue hit MOP64.9m, which is over 172.9% more than it was at the same period in 2022.
New concessions for regional gambling businesses were also announced by Macau earlier this year.
Galaxy Entertainment Group, Las Vegas Sands, MGM Resorts International, Melco Resorts, SJM Resorts, Wynn Resorts, and Genting Malaysia were among the seven companies that submitted applications for the new concessions.
As a result, Genting was left out of the six operators currently operating in Macau.
Starting on January 1, 2032, the new concessions will run until December 31, 2032.
